As an urgent care physician, a Christian, an artist, and an avid ironman triathlete, I have witnessed firsthand the profound impact that health can have on our lives. It is with great excitement and a burning passion that I embark on writing this book, with the sincere hope of making health information more accessible and empowering you to take control of your well-being.


In my daily interactions with patients, I am confronted with the undeniable truth that health is not merely the absence of disease but a state of complete physical, mental, and social well-being. Growing up in a close-knit community, I witnessed the transformative power of health in the lives of my family and friends. As a physician, I have been privileged to care for individuals from all walks of life. From treating acute illnesses and injuries in the urgent care setting to managing chronic conditions, I have seen the profound impact that health has on individuals, families, and communities. I have witnessed the resilience of the human spirit and the extraordinary capacity for healing when given the right tools and support.


My own journey as an ironman triathlete has deepened my understanding of the connection between physical, mental, and spiritual well-being. Endurance training has taught me the importance of discipline, perseverance, and pushing beyond perceived limits. It has also provided me with valuable insights into the interplay between physical fitness, mental resilience, and spiritual growth.


Being a Christian has further shaped my perspective on health and wellness. I believe that we are fearfully and wonderfully made, and that our bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit. Nurturing our health is not only an act of self-care but also an act of stewardship, honoring the gift of life that we have been entrusted with.
